Meerufenfushi Island Resort, fondly known as Meeru by friends, offers a relaxing casual atmosphere. A large island by local standards, much of the island remains untouched, with its natural vegetation intact. It is certainly the resort for you if you would prefer to kick off your shoes and enjoy a casual atmosphere in which to relax.

On a seventy-acre island covered with tropical palms, beautiful white beaches and with attractive accommodation. The house reef offers excellent snorkelling, whilst the fantastic location provides both seclusion and great excursions.

Dining

No fuss dining, just good food is the order of the day at Meeru. No dressing up to impress. Just stroll in from the beach or from your room, and sit down and enjoy. The only house rule is have is that no wet suits or wet clothes are allowed in the dining area. There is one restaurant, two coffee shops and three bars.

Main Restaurant

- meals are buffet, with the menu changing every day. At dinner theme buffets feature local fare, Italian and eastern cuisine on different days of the week.

Hungaanu Coffee Shop

- wide choice of snacks, the coffee shop, room service is also available from the coffee shop up until 11.00 pm. The system offered here is flexible, so if you're a late riser and miss out on the buffet breakfast.

Dhoni Bar

- As well as the usual bar beverages, there's a list of cocktails to suit most tastes, and there's a daily cocktail special should you want to try something different every day.

Kakuni Bar

Beach Bar & Coffee Shop Located at the tip of the island, this secluded little bar will keep swimmers and snorkellers using the little beaches overlooking the lagoon fully refreshed.

 

Room Facilities Information

Meeru offers a variety of rooms which suites to your budget and comfort . Total 276 Rooms including 76 Standard, 77 Land Villas, 61 Jacuzzi Villas, 29 Water Villas, 30 Jacuzzi Water Villas, 2 Honeymoon Suites, the Coral Suite and the Dolphin Suite. All rooms features tropical décor, two twins, one queen or one king size bed, tile or wood floors, private patio with furniture.

All rooms have air conditioning, telephone, mini-bar, tea & coffee making facilities, safe, shower and terrace

. Standard rooms are in terraces of 4 or 6 rooms, some with part open-air bathroom

. Land Villas are in individual wooden bungalows with part open air bathrooms

. Meeru Village rooms consist of Jacuzzi Villas which are as Land Villas plus an outdoor Jacuzzi, cable TV, CD player, wooden sun deck, shade pavilion and private tropical garden area

. Water Villas are built partly over the lagoon and have a CD player and sun-deck with ladder into the sea

. Jacuzzi Water Villas are built entirely over the water and have cable television, CD/DVD player and a Jacuzzi for two overlooking the ocean. They are in great demand, so book early! Please note guests need to be 18 years or above to stay at The Meeru Village.
