Kurdeu - Information

Kuredu Island Resort is located in Lhaviyani Atoll, an area famous for its abundant fish life. A paradise dream in real life, with more than 3 km of white beaches and aquamarine lagoons.

Exotic, thatched bungalows and spacious villas accommodate guests. Bungalows and Villas line the white sand beach, while Sangu Sunset Water Villas are built on columns over the lagoon.

Land Activities

Entertainment Centre is one of the new facilities designed to offer a variety of activities in one location within a spacious semi open Maldivian House.

The Entertainment Centre features a TV Hall with satellite channels and DVD player, a library with books in number of languages, a table top chess, giant floor chess with approximately two feet tall figures, table tennis, table football, darts and two pool tables within an air conditioned room.

A multipurpose ground is the venue for various games like football and cricket, competitions are arranged during the week. Beach volleyball is also played.

Floodlit Tennis on hard court and Floodlit Badminton on a sand based court is open between 08h00 and 20h00. Racquets, balls and shuttlecocks can be rented on the island.

Board Games for those who prefer more of mental challenges are available between 09h00 and 01h00 at some of the bars.

Golf

Kuredu Golf Club is the first of its kind in the Maldives. The Golf course is located on the eastern portion of the Island, surrounded by natural forest and the noise of the ocean.

The Golf Club boasts a full size driving range with the option of a shaded area and also hitting from the grass. A large putting green is also available to perfect the short game. The golf course is a 6-hole Par 3 course with the average length of a hole being 55 yards.

Spa

Enter a world of complete sensory heaven where time is left at the door and a new journey begins, step into a sacred place of touch and aroma at the Duniye Spa.

Watersports

As the largest Watersports centre in the Maldives, they offer a wide range of activities to suit every interest and level of experience. If you are looking for power and speed why not try watersking, wakeboarding, kitesurfing or banana & blast rides. If you are looking for something a little less strenuous, why not try Parasailing, Windsurfing, pedalos or canoes.

There is a large variety of dive sites to choose from. Kuredu ProDivers offers calm diving and diving in currents, channel crossings, caves and wall diving. The daily boat-trips, to more than 40 different dive sites, take between 10 and 60 minutes one way. They have a dive site with 2 wonderful wrecks. A third wreck is conveniently located on the house reef.

Kuredu - Dining & Restaurants

Bonthi Restaurant

This is located within the signature building of Kuredu in the centre of the island and it is the main restaurant for the guests in Beach Bungalows for all their meals. Bonthi serves international and local cuisine on rotating theme nights chosen from around the world.

Koamas Restaurant

is also situated in the renovated signature building of Kuredu, serving international & local buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all guests in villas on the southern coast of the island comprising of some Beach Villas, and Jacuzzi Beach Villas.

Sangu Restaurant

This is the allocated Restaurant for the guests in the Sunset Water Villas.

The Sangu & Koamas serve wide buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Guests in the Sunset Water Villas, Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Beach Villas can also eat in main restaurants other than their allocated restaurant if they choose to with a prior table reservation.

Bars

In Kuredu there are many bars to choose from;

• Babuna Bar is the main bar where they have entertainment & disco’s.
• Akiri Bar the quiet bar for the romantic evening.
• Pool Bar specialises in cool cocktails like, margaritas, daiquiris.
• Sangu Bar is the Bar for Sangu guests.
• ‘O’ Bar is luxury entwined with breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean.
• Golf Bar quench your thirst with a cold beer or a soft drink after your golf practice.
• Sai Kotari is our romantic tea house. Situated at the end of Kuredu harbour, "Sai Kotari" offers from dusk till midnight exclusive fresh Ceylon tea in 9 different flavours and a variety of coffee cocktails.

Kuredu - Rooms

Beach Bungalow

Beach Bungalows are comfortably furnished with rattan furniture and a spacious open-air bathroom with walk in shower and garden.

The facilities includes CD-player, Tea & Coffee making facility, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-bar, safe, telephone, beach towels, hair-drier(on request), a wooden terrace and sun beds. Size: 56 m2 incl bathroom and terrace. Renovated summer 2004.

Beach Villa

Cozy, comfortable Villas with magnificent views of the Indian Ocean, on the fine white beach a few steps from the beautiful lagoon on the south centre part of the island.

The facilities include four poster beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-bar, safe, telephone, sun beds, beach towels, hair-drier, kimono, CD & cassette player and tea / coffee making facility. Size: 60 m2 incl verandah and bathroom. Built 2002.

Jacuzzi Beach Villa

Romantic Villas with views of the Indian Ocean line the south-west and south-east Beach a few steps from the beautiful lagoon. These Villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area. They are exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture and feature a furnished verandah. Open-air bathrooms with walk-in shower.

Each Villa has a spacious secluded garden with a wooden deck and a Jacuzzi.. Size: 76 m2 incl. bathroom, verandah and garden. Facilities include four poster beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-bar, safe, telephone, sun beds, beach towels, hair-drier, kimonos, CD & cassette player and tea / coffee making facilities. Size: 76 m2 incl. bathroom, verandah and garden. Built 2002 and 2007.

Water Villa

Fabulous Villas on wooden columns in the north-west side of the lagoon with a romantic view of the sun set from the secluded furnished veranda, sun deck and steps down to the beautiful lagoon. From the veranda you can watch baby reef- sharks learning to hunt or small rays resting in the quiet lagoon.

These Villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and bathrooms with walk in shower overlooking the turquoise lagoon.

The Sangu Water Villas have a beautiful bar and restaurant in traditional Maldivian style and separate check in at the Sangu hospitality reception. Patrons in the Sangu Villas have also the option to eat in the other main restaurant; Coamas

The facilities include four poster beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini bar, safe, telephone, sun beds, beach towels, hair-drier, kimonos, CD & cassette player, tea / coffee making facilities. Built: 2002, size: 70 m2 incl bathroom and terrace.
