Holiday Island Resort is famous for its white sandy beaches and the beautiful lagoon around it. Holiday island located on the southern tip of South Ari Atoll is haven of peace and tranquility.

The design for Holiday Island reveals a grouping of low-rise rectangular shaped individual bungalows joined by covered walkways. The main complex is surrounded by landscaped gardens amidst tropical vegetation and crystal clear sea, thus offering the visitor an enchanting view of undulating greens interspersed with azure sea. The word "Dhiffushi" is a dhivehi word meaning "long uninhabited island".

Wide ranges of Water Sports facilities are available on Holiday Island. A fully equipped Diving Centre and Water Sports Centre to satisfy your needs. Several diving courses including Scuba diving are available in the Island.

Other water sports like Windsurfing, water-skiing, parasailing, Banana Boat riding, canoeing etc. are available at the Blue Sea Water Sports.

Snorkeling:

The hotel provides snorkeling trips on chargeable basis to different locations within this area.

 

Dining

There is a choice of restaurants offering western and oriental cuisine with rich and delicious buffets and set menu meals. In addition the coffee shop and bar serve a variety of a la carte meals and drinks round the clock.

 

Room Facilities Information

There are 142 beach front guest rooms in total. All rooms in this resort are the same and individual except for the eighteen put together in pairs, with an adjoining door, for families. They are each spacious, well maintained. Quality fixtures and fittings (from Singapore) are used throughout.

One door from the room opens to the beach and the other opens onto the winding path that runs all the way around the island Inside this paved path are carefully tended shrubs, flowers palms and other fruiting trees. Facilities in the room include: air-conditioned, hot and cold water, en suite bath, mini bar, IDD telephone, hair dryer, television.
